Paul Barcena is a commercial and fine art photographer, based in Mexico City.
Originally from Querétaro, Mexico, Paul started his photography career in New York City, after earning a scholarship to train at the International Center of Photography, and remained in NYC for several years, working in one of the most demanding and dynamic photography markets in the world.
Paul has extensive experience in the areas of fashion, lifestyle, food & drink, beauty, fine art and commercial still life photography. Previous clients include: Kate Spade, Vogue, Calvin Klein, CNN, Brat x J.T Magen for Nike The Westside, Everafter, Le Style Maison, Cedra Pharmacy, Semson Eatery, Culikid Organization, Poke Junke, Vitae Medical Spa, Instituto Mexicano de Cultura en NY, Consulado Mexicano en NY, L’Occitane, Nieve de Olla, North Face, Cream Magazine, Ignant Magazine, Daily Mail, Bussines Insider, TANK Magazine, Lady Gun, among others.
Paul relocated back to Mexico & is currently living and working in Mexico City, where he enjoys traveling through his home country, exploring and reconnecting with its rich culture and biodiversity.
